American Specialty Ammo $55 Oil Filter Suppressor

This is a really cool concept. American Specialty Ammo in cooperation with Cadiz Gun Works has developed an adapter that allows you to attach a standard oil filter to the end of a pistol or rifle and use it as a suppressor. Check out the video:

The small adapter piece is the part that is registered with the ATF, and is the part that requires the $200 NFA tax stamp. Then, the oil filters can be found for $10 to $20 at your local auto parts retailer and can be simply unscrewed and replaced when they wear out. The cost for the registered adapter is $55, not including the cost of the tax stamp. When you figure that typical suppressors run anywhere from $300 to $1000 without including the $200 tax stamp it becomes clear that this would be a very economical way for someone to get their feet wet in the sound suppressor world.

Check out Cadiz Gun Works or American Specialty Ammo for more details.
